"Conversations with Bessie" Premiere with Play on Philly Children’s Orchestra
“Conversations with Bessie” was commissioned by Play on Philly and developed in partnership with the Gabriela Lena Frank Creative Academy of Music. The piece will have it’s premiere performance with Play on Philly’s Children’s Orchestra on Sunday, May 19.

Sleight Ensemble presents TRANSIT FUTURES, a multimedia exploration of Bay Area’s past, present, and future transit infrastructure. Composer-performers Jacob Lane (piano), Stephanie Neumann (saxphones), and Erika Oba (flute) composed new music in collaboration with video-artist Alan Holsinger. This project was made possible with generous support from the City of Berkeley’s Civic Grant program.
